Things To Do In The Area

Restaurants

Moulin - 800 Geary St. only a block away from the hotel. Open from 7am to 2pm. A local favorite Mom and Pops style eatery est. 1978 where corned beef hash is to live for and cream cheese stuffed french toast was raved by the food critics amongst other plates.

Olympic Cafe - 500 block of Geary Street and Shannon Alley only a block and a half away. Great Omelets! & Banana pancakes and an extensive menu from sandwiches to salads. They open at 6 am till 3 pm.

Honey Honey - located right on the corner of Post and Taylor Streets only three blocks away from the hotel. Great Menu overall, from pancakes topped with caramelized pecans and whipped cream and several styles of crepes to full breakfast platters. They also serve sandwiches. This is a popular place for European and American tourists so give yourself some time due to long lines at certain breakfast hours.

Pine Crest - Offering a full menu with a variety of selections from breakfast served all day to home style cooking...the spaghetti with meatballs is a must try and the pot roast is just like a home made dish that your mother used to make. They are open 24 hours and are located on the corner of Geary nad Mason Streets, same block as the curran theatre.

Osha Thai Cafe - Serving Thai food, Osha has been in the neighborhood for more than 25 years. You can't go wrong with any selection although we suggest the Volcano beef and Pad Thai with prawns or chicken...squeeze the lime on top, toss and savor every flavor this dish has to offer and leave with a smile of contentment/satisfaction. Open late on week nights till 1 am and on weekends till 3 am.

Fishermen's wharf and Pier 39 take the east bound "F train", a collection of old trams from around the world right on Market St. A second best mode of transportation after the world renown cable cars.

Golden Gate Park Hop on the bus in front of the hotel and just one transfer assures you a great day in the park bigger than New York's central park. Golden Gate Park contains numerous museums, a Japanese tea garden, the Horticulture Society.
